i'm back! london was good fun but somehow this didn't really feel like a holiday at all? it's too short maybe it's because we were running everywhere with so much to do anyway, the taxi from paddington to the flat was so expensive! such a rip off..... ish.......... well, can't really state out what i did for the whole week shall jot down the main ones went to chinatown on sunday, 1st day of chinese new year itself and.... oh my god it was packed!!!!! literally... its like a bumper to bumper crawl we couldnt move at all just rubbing shoulders with all those disgusting minging people and they had this lion dance thing which made everyone not able to move and basically everyone was just fighting to see it and take pictures of it but trace and i didnt want to see it we just wanted to get out the irony is that the dance was performed right in front of us literally right in front but we ddint appreciate it and just wanted them to get lost didnt even eat there cause there were just major long queues for each and every restaurant went to covent garden and had lunch at a cafe but it was a great experience though now we know how chinatown is like on the 1st day of cny on tuesday, trace and i took the train up to cardiff she had an interview at cardiff uni so we decided to go 1 day earlier and stay the night and check out the place cardiff's really nice actually at night we met up with renyi for dinner at this italian restaurant Ciba. its supposed to be really good. have to book in advance apparently or you won't get tables but the place is quite small and she booked a few days before so we got a table food was not too bad
the starters we shared my linguinne with roast pork and fresh chillies
tracey's tagliatta
renyi and her penne renyi, me and trace
then on wed, trace went for her interview while i...................... went to watch a show 'because i said so' by MySeLf in the whole cinema, there was only about like 15 people? so i had the whole row to myself sat right in the middle add a whole walnut loaf by myself but i really enjoyed the film it was really good!!! then i walked around and bought this scarf at a really cheap price!! the shop was closing down yeah.. walked around by myself, ate at the cafe by myself, watched a film by myself how sad is that?? then on fri back in london, trace and i met up with jill she's studying in UCL went to have lunch at kimtaro my terriyaki salmon bento set
jill and i
jill and trace's lunch. both the same chicken with rice but trace had hers with curry sauce and jill had hers with terriyaki sauce
apart from going out a few times to shop, we stayed at home and watched tv the whole day! im surprised the tv didn't konk out must be pretty hardy oh ya, we watched the good shepard as well to be honest, i didnt and still dont really understand it all that second world war shite but if you understand it, it's a darn good film before we went back to school, my guardian brought us to the italian restaurant in notting hill and oh. my. god. it was like the best spaghetti i've ever had!! seriously. people, i recommend that you go there to eat italian food its like a proper italian restaurant with italian waiters and cooks. go there! its called Mediterranean in Notting Hill but do book in advance cause there's damn a lot of people during weekends try the spaghetti with lobster and fresh tomato sauce absolutely deeeliciousssss oh and try their tiramisu as well its heavenly! well that pretty much sums up my half term then back to school now darn! |
